Aside from the television, the second most important piece of the home theatre is the receiver. DVD players or recorders Tivo and or cable boxes and satellite boxes for example are receivers. The function of the receiver is to receive the signal that the television transmits. The concept is fairly simple you plug them all into-it receives all of this inputs and correlates it so to speak. This is the ultimate traffic director when it comes to your home theatre and I suggest you spend a good portion of your home theatre budget making sure that this is a good quality part. Make sure you pick the right one, and always have in mind to not overspend. After you make sure you get a television and some kind of a receiver, then you might consider buying a set of speakers for your home theatre. If you buy a high definition television you night want to consider getting a player that is compatible with high definition disks, an HD or a blue ray disk player. Items like these are a great start for any home theatre and you can build, expand, and upgrade it over time. Speakers are where the sound will be reproduced from. Again there is a huge variety of speakers to choose from but the most usual dilemma consumers are faced with is whether to go the surround sound route or not. There are many pros with setting a surround sound home theatre. The surround sound home theatre system will actually reproduce the sound one will experience in an actual movie theatre. The down side with surround sound is the potential increased cost as well as the extra speakers and cables you will have to set up. There are however several wireless home theatre speaker sets available on the market. Bose makes a few very good and reliable ones. Bose surround sound home theatre systems and speakers can be pricey but the quality of the sound is unsurpassed. Keep in mind that Bose speakers are not the only kind of speakers. They come in all shapes and sizes. It would be best to leave buying the speakers last, after you decide on a television, a receiver and a set up for your home theatre system. Keep all these thing in mind before you buy your home theatre system. |
