Trade shows are brilliant locations to launch new products promote existing ones and introduce upgrades to existing product lines, as your target market comes to you and are willing to listen. The key to a successful exhibition or trade show is how you use the space allocated to create an attention grabbing display that will persuade shoppers to stop and give you the attention you seek. The objective of a great Trade show stand is to encourage customers to notice your stand and make them stop. There are so many other competitions at a venue this is quit the challenge, so it has to be catchier from the others by being special and unique. When using a visual pop up display or colorful backdrop you will for sure catch the consumer’s line of sight as they walk towards the stand. Once they have shown interest your objective is for them to stay so they think about to pick up some information and, with the selling skills of your colleagues, purchase something! Using your creative mind to create a distinctive stand is going to be very successful because it will give you that extra that you need to have a competitive edge. The more memorable it is, the more sales at the exhibition it will have. For each exhibition you are planning on attending try to first find out some basic information, such as the number of people likely to attend, how many stands are catered for and where your stand will be situated, this should help you in planning your layout. If you make a drawing of the layout it can then be looked at objectively and any areas that might cause problems identified. How to catch the attention of visitors? Be sure not to be too loud and especially not irritating other stand holders because this could mean, visitors avoiding instead of looking at your stand. Here are a few pointers: number one; keep it calm and simple. Remember less is more. Number two; although you have got the best stand of the exhibition you’ll still need to employ a sales person with an extraordinary bubbling personality who has the knowledge about the product so can answer any questions. Welcoming customers, in a natural friendly way as they walk by and giving out flyers will either encourage visitors to stop and find out more information or to return later in the day if they are interested. Sometimes customers dislike pushy sales staff and will just walk away if they welcome them. This is where Number 3 comes in; make sure to display catalogues and brochures openly and attractively on a brochure stand so the people who would like tot walk away can easily pick one up, and if all is good come back and ask for information or even buy the product you are selling! Try to find an idea that is different to everyone else, no-one wants to walk around an exhibition and see the same thing over and over. Finding an attraction that is new and appeals to your target market can be a great success. Hiring staff to give out free refreshments or goodie bags can boost visitors' experience and will ensure your stand is remembered. Graphics, materials, size and elevation can all be designed in such a way as to ensure your message is put across and gets attention. Custom-built trade show displays allow you to be creative, dramatic, and relevant to support your launch in the most powerful way possible. Do your research and use your imagination and sell that product! |
